BRAZOS BUZZARDS R/C CLUB

GRANBURY, TEXAS

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, the Buzzards had a cleanup day at the flying field.  The electric fence was in need of repair and the briars, weeds and brush had grown up into the west fence as well as under the electric fence, so the weed eaters and loping shears as well as a lot of "main strength and awkwardness" was used to clear out a lot of offending growth.  The Buzzards attending were rewarded with hotdogs and all the trimmings after the work was complete.

The field was in need of mowing and that was to be ordered for the next week.

The wind sock was removed and a new sock ordered for the field.  John Thompson received a new sock in a few days but it turned out to be a FULL SIZED WIND SOCK.  It had a 24” opening and was 8 feet long.  Needless to say, that sock was returned and the correct sock was received and was installed on Saturday, April 30th.  The field received some rain since then and should be in good shape for the next meeting on Thursday May 5th at 7pm.

Thanks to all who participated in the cleanup!  It is GREATLY APRECIATED!
